Audience Analysis For Informative and Persuasive Speaking

Lets look at what it takes to become a persuasive speaker. Why persuasive, because those who are most successful in persuading others to their ideas, are the most successful in life.

Your presentation skills can be broken down into four categories, informing, entertaining, motivating/inspiring and persuading. A persuasive speaker is a leader in informative speaker is a teacher, which one are you.

Being a persuasive speaker, involves emotion, you’ve probably heard the old sales adage, A. I. D. A. which stands for attention how can you expect to persuade without getting the audiences attention.

Interest, you must speak on a topic that is interesting and relative to the audience you are trying to convey the message. Decision, in your presentation you must even evoke the motion that they must make a decision to change, whatever is not the way they want it to be.

And last but not least, action there must be a clear-cut way to act upon the information they have received, which will bring about the desired results. Also you must realize in becoming, a dynamic, persuasive speaker, you must utilize your imagination.

The great Albert Einstein said “imagination, is a greater force than knowledge.” Within your own psyche, or community of self, the willpower is the intended ruler, but can be hijacked, by the emotions or imagination.

When we are visualizing negative, fearful images, of failing we fail. Instead, visualize confident, persuasive, Images, and you will succeed. You will not change things by trying to force your will upon them. But you will set things right by visualizing and using your imagination, to evoke images of confidence and power.

The Novels of the Bronte Sisters – Feminism in Victorian Literature

The Bronte sisters were the daughters of a clergyman, Patrick Bronte who lived in Haworth, Yorkshire, England in the first half of the 19th century.

These three talented sisters created several novels, written, at first, in secret, and published under fictitious names. Each sister chose the name of a man and passed themselves off as brothers when they offered their books up to book publishers.

In Victorian times, female writers were seen as less competent than male writers. The Bronte sisters also hoped to preserve their privacy by using pen names.

Charlotte wrote under the name, Currer Bell. Emily wrote using the name Ellis Bell. The youngest sister, Anne, was Acton Bell.

Their first foray into the world of publishing was a slim volume of poetry. They had hoped to establish their own school at Haworth, but when their plan failed, turned to writing as a means of earning an income. When Charlotte read some of Emily’s poems, she saw great literary merit but not enough poems to fill a volume. So, Charlotte and Anne included their own poems when they approached a publisher.

The book of poetry did not earn the sisters the money they had desired, so they attempted to create novels, even then, a more lucrative endeavor.

Publishers accepted three novels by the Bronte sisters. Charlotte’s novel, The Professor was published but was not a success. Publication of the novels by Emily and Anne were put on the back burner. But, the publishers, Smith and Elder wrote Charlotte encouraging letters who then wrote Jane Eyre which appeared and was well received by critics and the reading public.

The success of Jane Eyre encouraged the publication of Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte and Agnes Grey, by Anne Bronte. Neither of these books met with the same success as Jane Eyre.

Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights offended reviewers who described it as an unnatural tale. One reviewer wondered how a person could have written such a disturbing story without committing suicide. It was not until years after her death at the age of thirty, that Emily Bronte’s novel was seen as an important novel that would ultimately become a classic of English literature.

The novels of the Bronte sisters center on the difficulties faced by women due to the social expectations and mores of Victorian England. Women of that time had few employment opportunities and were dependent on the men in their families or the men who employed them. Most of these novels can be seen as early expressions of early feminism where the protagonists struggle to gain independence and self-reliance. The characters who are unable to stand up for themselves, or to gain some modicum of strength suffer greatly and are held up as models of failure and depicted with pity.

While Emily’s sole novel was Wuthering Heights, Charlotte and Anne published several others. Following is a list of the books by the Bronte sisters:

Wuthering Heights (1847) by Emily Bronte is a complex and disturbing tale of desire, vengeance, and dysfunctional family relationships set in the English moors.

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is an orphan’s struggle to gain economic stability and respect in a time when personal freedom and self-reliance was difficult for women. Jane becomes a governess for the intelligent and troubled Mr. Rochester with whom she falls in love.

The Professor, by Charlotte Bronte was republished in 1857 after her death. The story centers on the orphaned William Crimsmith and his struggle to free himself from the clutches of his abusive brother. He hopes to leave the trades and enter a life of academia.

Shirley by Charlotte Bronte (1849) is set during a time of industrial unrest in England. Shirley is an independent woman of means in search of some significance in her life. Charlotte based the main character on her sister Emily.

Villette, by Charlotte Bronte (1853) was Charlotte’s last novel, the tale of Lucy Snow, an independent minded young woman who takes a job at a girls’ school in a foreign country.

Ages Grey by Anne Bronte (1847) centers around the dreary life of a governess in Victorian England and the problems faced by young women in need of earning a respectable living.

The Tennant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte (1848) was better received than Agnes Grey. The protagonist, Helen, flies in the face of convention when she stands up to her abusive husband and speak up with a frankness unusual in a time when meekness was the mode for a respectable woman.

Want to get a guy get hooked to you more? Do you know how to flirt with a guy in bed that would definitely blow his mind? Are you ready to be sexier, more flirtatious and showing him your wild side? Most men admit that they would want to hook more with a woman who knows how to drive them to euphoria. Knowing the skills in love-making is as important as to knowing how to flirt with a guy.

Here’s how you can flirtatiously make a guy want you more. What’s great is that you don’t have to be a sex guru to drive a man wild. Here are some tips on how to flirt with a guy in bed.

1. Get his arms tied up.

Men just love women who are in control. What you need to do is to get his tie off and use it to tie him to your bed. Men love to get tied up as they get an instant boost on their sexual energy. They love the feeling of being vulnerable and at your mercy. You then focus on giving him the pleasure he wants. Stimulate the sensitive areas of his body by licking and kissing them.

2. Give him a sneak peek of you.

Instead of meeting up your man in the restaurant, let him meet you first in your apartment. Don’t put on your dress first, just put on your sexy lingerie. When he arrives, play with yourself sensually. Play with yourself in front of a mirror so he could also see a nice view of your butt. Make your moves sexy to entice him more. Begin by rubbing your nipples then down to your thigh. Tell him that he could play with you after dinner. This is a jaw-dropping move that would make him want you more.

3. Get naughty in handling his package.

Your man will get surprised when you do some hand job. He will even get more surprised if you stroke his package when he’s on the phone. As you sexually stroke him and he’s on the phone, he gets so turned on knowing that the person on the other end of the phone doesn’t have any idea as to what is happening. The moment he’s on the phone, come up from behind, slowly unzip his pants and playfully work on his package. Use your finger to touch the tip of his package. Move it slowly in an upward and downward position.

4. Get playful in the couch.

Men love the couch. They sit down on the couch and watch TV. It’s also the place where they want to chug down their beer. You can add another reason to make them love their couch. Move your love-making action to the couch. Let him stand up and allow him to enter you from behind as you kneel on the couch. You can also use another position. Straddle him as he is seated on the couch. He gets a full erotic view of you in this position.

Empowering Children With Low Self Esteem

Self esteem is a key ingredient in maximizing children’s potential in academic achievement, social success, and personal happiness. This statement alone, was the inspiration behind the motivation for Children’s Story Book ‘ The Magic Sunglasses’ written by Auriel Blanche.(also known as Angela Buck)

We all want to protect our children, keep them from harms way and safeguard them from danger. Fundamentally it is the child’s own inner beliefs and self esteem that is the only thing that can act like armor and create a shield to protect them from the challenges the world has to throw at them. For a child to reach their full potential: self esteem is the primary and most crucial tool. This is the devise that Angela Buck has focused on throughout her child literacy program. She prides herself on actively infusing inspiration to children across the world. By sparking imaginations through her literature, Angela gives the children the freedom to learn and the ability to overcome the negatives life may throw at them. Angela encourages the use of attributes a child has within to enable them to live with independence and self worth.

Angela Buck successfully taps into many children’s spirits on a global scale, making them visualize desirable outcomes and make positive connections with their inner purpose. She does this through her skill of creative and innovative writing which engages children of all ages. Along with her interactive workshops and programs, The Magic Sunglasses, her acclaimed children’s fun fantasy book is a must read for all children in today’s society. Especially for those who are saddened with a low self esteem. Samantha is a character a child with a lack of confidence can relate to. She too hasn’t fully discovered that she has a special value all her own. Throughout the story she finds a power that the reader will be inspired to find in themselves. The books motivation is to show we all have that special value, which we can use to help us live the lives we really want and to be happy. The magic sunglasses in their physical form mysteriously find their way to Samantha. They have wonderful powers which support her and show her what you can do if you really try! The important notion behind the story is that these possibilities are still achievable when she no longer has them. The results this book entails is seen in the readers improvement of personal motivation, their positivity for their own capabilities, their respect for their own special values and the optimisms for their own self worth.

Children with low self-esteem may not want to try new things, and may frequently speak negatively about themselves; they may be over critical, lack confidence and miss out on the fun and learning that other children benefit from. It is known that the use of a child’s imagination helps children to develop their unique personality, beliefs, and strengths. Children work through their problems and explore their feelings while reading this book. Through their new limitless view they are now able to set meaningful and purposeful goals or intentions. Samantha hasn’t any limitations to her dreams; she tries new things and can reach goals without an aid. This can then be relayed in the life of the reader.

Patterns of self-esteem start very early in life. This is why Angela Bucks book is aimed at 7-12 year olds, this age is crucial for developments; emotionally, physically and intellectually. Learning new skills and gaining belief in their potentials are great ways to improve self esteem in children. This is exactly what the themes throughout The Magic Sunglasses inspires to do. They teach the reader to praise themselves and use their imaginations to motivate all welcomed possibilities.

Angela Buck understands that Children with low self esteem need a positive role model. For this reason she created the amazing Samantha. She is always polite and friendly. She is playful and imaginative. She enjoys making her dreams come true and strives to reach her potential. She is a happy child, enthusiastic and charismatic. She is respectful of others and through self discovery learns how to cope with the challenges she faces with optimism and self worth. All of which are attributes that a role model should inspire.

To overcome self esteem issues and lack of confidence we need to Identify and redirect the child’s inaccurate beliefs. Self-esteem is all about the way you judge yourself. Angela strives to promote the ethos of creating a worldwide community of children who have learnt how to value themselves and to use their potential, to live personally successful lives and contribute to the success of others. These aspects are explored through the characters in the book as well as through her interactive workshops, and her new ventures and material. Inaccurate beliefs are created by other inflicting methods surrounding children, i.e. other adults, other children, television, magazines or many other reflective methods. The Magic Sunglasses compromises these inaccurate beliefs and offers a more positive and preferable aspect to life. Samantha the main character doesn’t embellish in perfection, attractiveness or being the best at everything but instead appreciates her own abilities, enjoys her own imagination and strives to promote her own specialties. Along with promoting children’s individual self-discovery and self-esteem Angela has the aim of teaching the importance of discovering others self worth’s and becoming respectfully aware of others. To not only understand their own specialties but to seek and understanding the positives and strengths in everyone. Angela hopes a generation of individuals who grow up with a natural respect for others regardless of race, religion or cultural will one day exist. The practice of imagining themselves in Samantha’s situation is very important for developing compassion, empathy and understanding others fully, by discouraging flawed beliefs and offering inspiration for positive healthy ways of thinking, the child’s self-esteem and confidence will inevitably improve. This will benefit the academic, social and personal development needed at this age.

It is known that a child needs affection and love. Without this it is inevitable that a low self esteem will occur. For this reason The Magic Sunglasses would be a great read to improve the esteem. It is a warming and touching storyline that will be extremely heartfelt by the reader, making them feel happy inside. The transparent messages throughout the book are to teach the children to love themselves. This book will surely strengthen the child’s heart. Positive feedback is always craved by children and important in their learning, for this reason the book encourages own thought and personal creativity. It also encourages using imaginations for possibilities and the motivation for achieving those opportunities. The Magic Sunglasses provides imaginary situations which allow them to practice creative solutions and transcend challenges. Both of which are tools that will set them for life.

A happy living environment is essential in areas of personal confidence and personal valuation. If a child has been constantly criticized, bullied or ignored during early childhood they will have much less child self-esteem than children who are praised, encouraged, listened to and valued. Often it is the case that a child hasn’t had or cannot respond to the praise or encouragement from a parent or teacher alone. This means that it is important that every child has the confidence within themselves to appreciate their own self worth and specialties. All of which are creatively demonstrated with fantastic illustrations in Angela Bucks book. Another aspect to think of is that if a child is experiencing a troubled time they may need an embracive distraction. By reading The Magic Sunglasses an escapism is created for them. An inspirational and imaginative place of positivity and hedonism. A place of fun, friendship and endless possibility. Worry, fear, panic and anxiety are all counteracted with positive images by reading the magic su
nglasses, all fantastically created by the amazing author Angela Buck.

Children with unhealthy self-esteem tend to fear interacting with others. They’re uncomfortable in social settings and hate group activities as well as independent pursuits. When challenges arise, they feel negative toward finding solutions and belittle themselves. Children with low self esteem are afraid to say “I don’t understand this.” And therefore do not learn and develop as the others do. They don’t know their strengths and focus on their weaknesses. The Magic Sunglasses give a sense of optimism throughout the story line. An interactive workshop is available just by contacting the author. This is where children can benefit from the participational activities and make friends through the interaction. They are encouraged to have fun, be creative and play imaginatively in order to explore the themes. In small groups the children can concentrate on the issues and communicate openly in discussions. This will enable the individuals within the groups to challenge and understand their own and others fear and problems. They will learn to inspire themselves and others to explore passions and dreams. All children in the previous workshops, enjoyed, learnt and benefitted from them. Many parents noticed differences in their children. Many children improved their self-esteem. Teachers were impressed and as a result were inspired to re-book again and again.

When these stories actually transform a child’s life, bringing joy and happiness to it, you know the story is a winner. This touching, inspirational and heart-warming plot has repeatedly been transformed into optimistic true life stories for many children who have read it. From some of which, Angela has been inundated with positive testimonials, rewarding reviews and written letters of compliments.

“I was told by a friend of mine to get the magic sunglasses for my daughter who is 7, she loved it and I did too. I try to make her realize how special she is and this book was great in explaining this, the pictures were great and Katie loved to read it. In fact shes read it again and again, I will definitely recommend this to children with lack of confidence and parents who think their children may need help in self esteem. ” Barbara Deaglee

“I used to hear my 8-year-old daughter putting herself down, saying things like “I’m so ugly” or “I can’t do anything right.” I tried to assure her that none of these things were true, but nothing I said seemed to make any difference. I gave her The Magic Sunglasses and she loved it. Shes read it a few times now. She is now so much happier, she comes home from school and tells us what shes been good at and she has even joined a dance club. I’d recommend this book to every mum who is worried about their child being down.” Julie Jacobs – Melton Mowbray

“Dear Angela, Thank you very much for your workshop at my childs school last month. She came home excitable telling me about her day, playing games and learning about the magic sunglasses. I thought nothing more of it until I went to a parent teacher meeting. I was told my daughter who is 7 had come out of herself. I know she was a little shy, would be afraid to talk out in class and would shy from asking the teacher for help sometimes, but I was told that she is now much chattier and participates in the classroom discussions more. Im amazed she has even auditioned for the school play. This I have been told has resulted in her grades improving. I have also seen a happier child, she is a lot chattier, has had many new friends round for tea and is very keen on keeping up to date with the website…” David Harper – Oldham

As you can see from these views, Angela Buck is a very inspirational lady, not only to children but to adults and parents over the globe. She shines beacons of light, inspires lasting change and empowers emotionally happy children to reach endless possibilities!!! How refreshing and delightful to benefit from The Magic Sunglasses and see it empower our children’s minds and free their spirits to become flourishing children and ultimately successful adults! Cheating Before Marriage – Why Do People Do It?

Have you ever had friends who gushed and blushed about cheating on their prospective spouses before actually tying the knot? Have you yourself considered one last fling before saying “I Do” to your husband-to-be? Why do people do it and what satisfaction do they get from it? The human psychology proposes many challenges especially in the field of relationship and commitment. But one thing is for sure, people’s actions are always motivated by something. You don’t go kissing some random guy in your wedding dress just because the clock struck twelve midnight. You feel an urge, you feel a sense of curiosity, you feel peer pressure—there are many reasons as to why you would consider cheating before marriage. Here are just some of the few reasons why other people do it, and what these things imply or result into after the vows have been said.

Curiosity

A lot of people do things to satisfy curiosity. Men and women alike attest to that “thrill” — that overwhelming power to do something naughty before the commit themselves to a lifetime partnership and a promise of good behavior and monogamy. This thrill pushes people into doing what is generally considered unacceptable: cheating before marriage. They are curious as to what it feels like. Is it as exciting as what other people say? To some, it’s an intense adventure that they’re bound to remember throughout their lifetime. To others, it is a huge moment of regret—a massive lack of foresight that leads to what could be a lifetime of remorse as it will inevitably affect the marriage. So before you try that little clandestine affair, do not forget the age-old saying “curiosity killed the cat.”

The “Last” Notion

A lot of women believe in the idea of getting married only ONCE—hence the lavish, expensive ceremonies and once-in-a-lifetime wedding details. And consequently, they do have this notion that their husband is going to be the last guy they’re going to be with. So, the quest begins: to have one more last fling before succumbing to lifetime commitment to being with one person and one person only. This is where cheating before marriage happens. A woman sleeps with one guy before she finally decides that she will sleep with only one guy from the moment she says her vows until death do they part. A classic fairytale, that’s what it is. In reality, cheating before marriage doesn’t necessarily equate to lifetime monogamy afterwards. In most cases, cheating reinforces that desire to have an extra-marital affair and leads to the sad reality of cheating during the marriage as well.

Human Nature

Sadly, cheating has been attributed as part of human nature already. Men are believed to be instinctually polygamous. Women are not excluded from this social label. Women who end up cheating before marriage are said to have listened to their primal desires, their human nature. As science continues to present trivia and interesting facts as to how penguins and whales are monogamous: the human being seems to be out of that list. Cheating is just part of human nature in this day and age. And whether it is done before marriage or during, oftentimes it makes no difference anymore. Cheating before marriage is, unfortunately, quickly becoming something that is almost considered normal in most social groups. And whatever reasons an individual may have, it still boils down to the point that it’s an ugly, complicated mess for the newlyweds because right before saying they do… they did someone else.

Not All Leaders Are Charismatic

Charisma in leadership is a way of describing a person who seemingly has no difficulty drawing people to him or her. This type of charismatic leadership is effective – in the right situations. Historically, leaders such as Winston Churchill and John F. Kennedy are seen as charismatic, but so are Adolph Hitler and Saddam Hussein. This simply means that charismatic leaders emerge in various situations and can use their ability for advancement – or not. First, let’s look at what makes a leader charismatic.

As we’ve said, charismatic leaders seem to have a natural flair for inciting emotion and enticing people to follow them. These leaders are the “work the room” types of leaders, the ones who can spend hours in a crowd focusing more on the people they are talking to than on themselves. One of the biggest characteristics of charismatic leadership is the ability to take larger ideas and boil them down to simple ones, such as, “I have a dream”. These charismatic leaders may be seen as greater than average risk takers who fight the status quo and lead the charge to innovate.

On the other hand, co-called non-charismatic leaders can be seen as someone with high technical knowledge leading a field by example. Or possibly the non-charismatic leader is seen as a nurturer, protector, or wise sage. Is one type of leadership more effective than the other? Again, it depends on the situation. For example, political and religious leaders are often the most charismatic – after all, their success depends on how many people follow them. But think about more conservative organizations, such as a bank or investment house – is this a place where we would prefer a completely charismatic leader, or a more quiet, leading by example type person? The danger in discussing these leadership styles is that we all tend to compare ourselves to the standards. There’s no need to try to make yourself into a charismatic leader if it’s not the most natural style for you. On the other hand, if you lead with charisma, don’t try to tone it down. So is it true that not all leaders are charismatic? Absolutely. But all leaders share some of the same traits – they simply demonstrate those traits in different ways.

First, all leaders share a vision. Whether you are charismatic or not, your leadership is established by creating a vision that the organization will follow. Visionary leadership is neither charismatic nor non-charismatic – it’s just plain leadership. All leaders engender trust, whether it’s through charged public speaking and personal magnetism or through steady, sound vision and goals. If you have the trust of your organization, your leadership will be successful. Another characteristic that all leaders share is the ability to motivate – and maintain motivation. Again, motivation can come from personal magnetism and the ability to incite emotion and inspiration, or it can come from a quiet culture of recognition and reward. Leaders also lead with courage and honesty – without these traits, your leadership won’t amount to much. Finally, leaders share the need for innovation – and the ability to surround themselves with innovators.

Many of us may want to increase our charisma – and there are few things you can do to get there. But remember that too much charisma can lead to the “cult of personality”, where it seems that leadership is all talk and no show. Whatever you do, balance your charisma based on your individual personality, the organization, and how the organization responds to charisma. Some organizations are inherently distrustful of a high level of charisma, or they may have the tendency to dismiss charismatic leadership as talk. So be careful about how you approach it – and remember that not all of us need the charisma of Martin Luther King or Billy Graham. So what can you do to work on charisma?

First, know thyself. Extreme self-knowledge and self-awareness lead to a high level of confidence – not overconfidence, but an understanding of who you are and what your contribution will be. Another way to increase charisma is to actively practice public speaking. If you’re an organizational leader, you probably do have to speak in public on a consistent basis. Ask for feedback. Hire a coach or consultant to help you increase your magnetism through public speaking. As we’ve seen, most charismatic leaders are excellent public speakers who feel and look comfortable in front of small and large audiences. Along with public speaking comes the ability to “work the room” as we discussed earlier. Practice extemporaneous speaking along with public speaking. You’ll always be able to get someone talking and thus take the time to focus on them. But always remember to back up your words with consistent action. Finally, be humble. Some of history’s successful charismatic leaders have shared a sense of humility – and the sense that they did not get where they were alone. These three practices can help you improve your personal charisma.

Remember that not all leaders are charismatic. You must lead in the style that is most compatible with your personality – and the personality of your organization. Don’t try to be someone you’re not – and keep in mind that all leadership has the same goal: to get people to follow you with motivation and inspiration. If you’re able to do that in your particular situation without a high level of charisma, then so be it. With or without a high level of charisma, be sure that you exhibit the common traits of leadership and your style will be successful.

How to Make Him Think of Me & Only Me All the Time? Keys to Get Him Super Intrigued Fast

by sinnga kilam 0 Comments

Which woman doesn’t want to be in her man’s thoughts at all times? If you think that such things happen only in dreams or movies you are wrong. Here are a few ways to make your man think of you.

Spend memorable moments together

If you spend quality time together and have fun while doing so then your man is going to think of you a lot. He will look forward to the time that he has to spend with you. Make sure you both are relaxed and you don’t give him any unnecessary amount of stress so that he thinks of you when you are not with him.

Tickle his sense of smell

The sense of smell is very powerful. It can tickle his brain in ways that you didn’t even think was possible. A familiar smell can trigger many memories so make sure that you have one signature smell. Every time he gets a whiff of your perfume he will think of you.

Use a special tone and voice when you speak to him

If you want your man to think of you then you have to use a special tone and voice to talk to him. He will remember the way you speak to him when you are not there with him and will make him think of you.

Make an electronic appearance

If you want him to think of you then you have to give him some sudden surprises but without making an appearance. Send him an email on a day that you know he’s not that busy. Detail out some personal stuff like something that you would like to do to him or would like him to do to you

Burn an image in his head

The next time you are making breakfast in his house do it a little differently. Instead of getting completely dressed for work, wear his shirt and nothing else and make breakfast. He will be thinking of your burning image for a long time to come.

Be a little unavailable for him

Sometimes you need to make a guy pine and wait for you to get him to think of you all the time. So cut him off at times or make plans with someone else and meet him later. He will want you more when you make yourself a little scarce and will also get thinking of you a lot more

Back off without being asked to do so

A guy will be nice enough not to tell you to back off when you are trampling his space. But you should be wise enough to do so before he asks you to. When you give him his space he thinks of you a lot more and a lot often.

Las Vegas Vacation – Tips, Tricks and Cautions

by sinnga kilam 0 Comments

These “cautions”, “tips”, and “tricks” are offered to help make your Las Vegas Vacation as enjoyable, fast and easy to plan as possible. Whether this is your first trip to “Fabulous Las Vegas” or you are a veteran, you’ll find some useful tips and tricks here.

Las Vegas Travel Tips: First and foremost, the biggest mistake many travelers to Las Vegas make in planning a trip is to book the cheapest air fare/hotel package “available anywhere”. These are offered everywhere from your hometown newspaper to television ads to especially, e-mail spam. Beware!

Why? A Cheap Las Vegas Vacation is good, we agree! BUT, did you know virtually all Las Vegas Hotels have 2- 3 levels of room quality (or options)? Now, we mean even many of the five star, “big ones” many of these are just plain substandard rooms, maybe with a nice view of the air conditioning system! (This actually happened to me personally, and was it Loud!)

Things like older bed mattresses, no safes, old decorating, long walks to the casino, restraunts, shows, or even a taxi. Did you know there are monorail trains running right behind some of the rooms? How about a roller coaster right outside your window? And lots more. Just remember “cheapest” is just that. Ask at the front desk at check-in exactly where your room is, look at it before signing in if possible.

We aren’t pushing for only high dollar rooms here, just get the best quality room your budget will allow, you will be very glad you did.

Why book your Hotel first? Las Vegas is booked up an average of 94% year round, so plan ahead (at least 30+ days is recommended) to get the exact days you want, where you want, room quality you want. Plus, usually it’s less expensive to book well in advance. Did you know that Sunday through Thursday is less expensive? When you get your selected Las Vegas Hotel booked, then you can book a flight to fit the days in and out to fit YOUR schedule.

Makes sense doesn’t it?

Once you get your Las Vegas Hotel booked first. Then you can book the Las Vegas Shows that you want, when you want. Be sure to check to see if your particular show choice isn’t “dark” on your selected days. Holidays are a good example of dark days.

Then book your Las Vegas Tour. (If you have never experienced the thrill of a Helicopter Ride at night over “Glitter Gulch and Downtown”, or a daytime trip over the Boulder Dam and Grand Canyon this is something you will never forget!) It isn’t as expensive as you might think! Check our tours links for prices and times.

This is the entertainment capital of the World, so allow yourself enough time to take in as many attractions (dozens are free) as possible, it will make your Las Vegas Vacation much more memorable. If possible, book an extra night stay just to allow for a special Las Vegas Tour or a day of Las Vegas Golf.

Las Vegas Gambling Tips:

Gambling is the lifeblood of Las Vegas. You didn’t really think those billion dollar hotels were built by “winners” did you? Set a daily budget for gambling and stick to it! You do have a good chance at winning. Hundreds if not thousands of “Hand Pay Jackpots” are paid every day. Be careful though, those chips, tokens and ticket-in/ticket-out seem too much like “play money” they are not they are your real money! Stick to your budget! Did I say that already?

Get a “players card” everywhere you go and use it, or if you are a “table player” ask the pit boss to “rank” or “rate” you. They will track your play and comp you accordingly with all kinds of free stuff. Such as meals, rooms, clothing, limos, gift shop points and even cash. These really help put the odds in your favor.

Seems like my “budget” is always too small, but try your best to set a reasonable daily goal and stick to it, don’t tap into tomorrows budget! Just maybe you’ll walk away a big winner! It happens every day. Remember the phrase: “Walk away when ahead”!

It’s not my place to preach, but here are some very useful Las Vegas tips on handling your money. All that cash in the casinos you see everywhere attracts some pretty shady characters (read Crooks!) Security is excellent, but there are always a few, and it just takes one to ruin a perfect vacation.

Las Vegas Security:

Ladies, bring or buy a small purse with a neck strap or waste pouch, or fanny pack, something that is comfortable enough to keep on your person all the time. Never ever set your purse on the floor or next to a machine, or on a stool next to you. This is a magnet for thieves! Keep that strap around your neck.

Most thieves work in pairs, one to distract you, the other to snag your purse. Just a couple types of distractions they use are: one will drop a coin or dollar bill or two near you on the floor and ask you “is that your cash on the floor?” while the other grabs your stuff, or overly talkative “players” will sit down next to you and jabber to get your attention, while their partner grabs your stuff, or hits the payout button and walks away with your ticket. Believe me. This does happen. They are very slick and fast, so just be aware.

When you do accumulate a couple winning tickets, hide them in your wallet or purse until you are ready to cash them in, and then stash the cash. Remember the “walk away” tip?

Men: It isn’t degrading to wear a waste pouch. Okay, if you just don’t want to, then fold your bills and keep them in your front pants pocket. If they “pickpocket” your wallet with all your credit cards in it at least you’ll have your cash, or vice versa, just keep them separated. And, watch those tickets.

If you do hit a good size jackpot, take the money to the safe in your room or take it to the Hotel desk for safekeeping. Or, ask for a Security escort to your room or car. They are happy to provide this service. Don’t walk around the casino or streets with a big wad of cash!

The Security at all Hotels and Casinos is excellent. With all those thousands of cameras (Eyes in the sky) every inch of the casino is being taped continuously. (Did you know that Nevada law requires casinos to have this level of security?) It is for your protection as well as the Hotel/Casino.

Now please understand, we are not trying to scare you away here, but rather just make you aware! It is real easy to get caught up in all the flashing lights, noise, overhead shows, people watching and normal distractions of a casino. Just don’t give them an opportunity to ruin your fun.

Follow these Las Vegas Travel Tips and they will make your Las Vegas Vacation a lifetime memory.

How to Make Your Own Jigsaw Costume For Halloween

by sinnga kilam 0 Comments

Jigsaw, the puppet like bearer of bad news from the Saw movie series, would be a rather interesting costume for Halloween and pretty easy to make too. I really love the Saw movies so I think it would be a really great costume, and it’s not one you see very often so it would be pretty unique as well.

And it would always be a relevant costume around Halloween too because that’s the time the latest installment in the Saw movie series always comes out. And who knows, if you do a really good job at it, that you may even win a prize or something at your next costume party this Halloween.

If I was to dress up as the character Jigsaw from the Saw movies for Halloween, I would probably concentrate on the mask. Now I wouldn’t recommend this costume for anyone who was going to be around children however, especially enhanced with any of the further details like a saw, because I’m sure that they or their parents might find it pretty disturbing.

The Jigsaw mask would make it rather evident that you were trying to be him right away. To make the mask I would recommend taking a white mask and then dressing it up with the Jigsaw features. These features could easily be painted on a plain white mask. You can also find the Jigsaw mask at several locations but if you wanted to save money you could make it yourself using some paint and a few other items.

The obvious first features would be the red spirals on the cheeks. Also, the Jigsaw mask is like a dummy mask so there would have to be lines drawn down from the middle of the lips to the bottom of the chin to make it look like that part of the mask would move if the character were to talk. Deep red lips with some red blood dripping from them would also make the mask even scarier if you’re trying to go for a scary look.

Other than the mask the costume is quite simple – you could wear mostly black or dress up in a suit as I believe Jigsaw does whenever you see him in the movie. If you wanted to allude even more to the movies you could put something on the Jigsaw costume like something from one of the scenes. The first thing I thought of was needles from the needle pit that they dove into in Saw IV. Although this would be a safety hazard if you used real needles you could just use pictures of needles on your costume or something similar like toy syringes.

I also would think of using a hack saw from the first Saw movie, with chains attached to your legs or something like that. Again though, be cautious and make sure that it doesn’t have a blade that could harm people. I think most people would understand that your costume is simply based on the mask though.

So, I hope that if anyone decides to make their own Jigsaw costume that they have a lot of fun doing it and also have a lot of fun wearing it. Jigsaw costumes have a lot going for them – they are not too common, but are creepy as you’d ever imagine. So go rent a copy of Saw and get ready for even more Jigsaw costume ideas.
