Traditional Marketing – Offline Marketing Methods and the Advantages & Disadvantages – Part 2

Free/Cheap Offline Marketing Methods

  • Word of mouth – referrals by friends, family members, colleagues, etc.
  • Handouts -flyers, newsletters, brochures, business cards, etc.
  • Branding – putting your website URL on clothes, household necessities, your car, etc.
  • Telecommunication – talking to clients over the phone
  • Direct mail – deliver handouts, thank you letters, important documents, etc.

Paid Offline Marketing Methods

  • TV advertising – commercials, infomercials, etc.
  • Radio advertising – mainly done through talk shows (specified for local areas such as cities or towns)
  • Billboards -supersize your ad on freeways and high traffic areas
  • Print Media – newspapers, journals, and magazines.
  • Joint ventures – partner up with other offline businesses
  • Press releases -newsworthy stories about your business that are sent to the media

A Quick Outlook

With the power of the internet and the fact that several businesses are now moving online, some people are probably wondering, “Why even bother with traditional marketing anymore?” Well that’s the question I’m about to answer as I show you the advantages & disadvantages of traditional marketing and tips on how to overcome the downsides.

Advantages of Traditional Marketing

Faster Results

Many forms of internet marketing, such as search engine optimization and banner ads, can take several weeks before any real results start to happen. You are just not going to get that top 5 website ranking from SEO overnight or within the first month even. Furthermore, banner ads are reportedly becoming less effective now-a-days and can also take some time to produce sufficient outcome. Traditional marketing however, can produce much faster and more effective results with well-placed ads that are suitable to a particular audience. You can expect a stronger impact in lesser time with traditional marketing.

The truth is many websites are deleted, moved, or abandoned all the time and search engine results also change periodically. Advertising offline has no uncertainties in that nature in any way. You can give someone your business card and that same reference can be good 10 or 20 years later. The same bears true for flyers and posters, although handouts have a slightly lower life expectancy than business cards. The point is that a business is more durable offline than it is online.

This might be the number one advantage of offline marketing. Trust is a huge factor of any business, regardless of how it is promoted. Many people are more comfortable with buying products from offline ads than on the internet. The reason is that you get to see the people or company you are interested in buying from and get to know them a little before you actually purchase. More times than not, many online ads and websites don’t provide that same trust aspect. The lingering of endless scam sites over the internet just makes that problem even worse. So most certainly, trust is more established in traditional marketing than on the internet.

Disadvantages of Traditional Marketing

Cost & Expenses

Marketing in print media or live broadcasting, such as TV and radio advertising, is not cheap at all. The bigger the geographical area you want to embrace and the more popular the company you advertise with, the more money you will be spending. What makes it more dreadful is that if you don’t place and promote the ad well enough then you can find your self on the bad end of the cost/reward ratio and actually lose money.

Advice: It’s always better to use the marketing methods that are within your budget and begin to use the more expensive ones once you start acquiring more sales for your business. So if you can’t afford the high costs of print media as well as TV and radio advertising, then stick to the free & low cost methods for now, like handouts and word of mouth.

Time constraint is probably the biggest traditional marketing disadvantage. Online websites function 24/7 while many offline businesses usually operate in between 6-12 hours a day and only 5 days a week. If you were to do the math and calculate the difference in time between the two you would get an approximate answer of 2 whole days and an additional 12-18 hours a day which is equal to about 4 1/2 days total a week lost to online websites. That’s A LOT of time that could be used to gain more potential customers and make more sales.

Besides having less time to market an offline business, you are also presented with the problem of customers being able to contact you when they want. Most offline businesses don’t provide email which means that customers have to wait to the next business day that you are open or have to leave a voicemail on your phone and wait until you contact them back. To many people, this can be very annoying.

Advice: While you can’t do anything about the internet operating 24/7, you should make it your best effort to be available as much as possible, even at night. That’s why it’s VERY important to have an email and phone number provided in your contact information so that you can get back to your clients right away or the very next morning.

Most offline businesses require some kind of work force to maintain them while the internet provides enough tools and support for individuals to usually preserve their business on their own online. Not to mention the added stress and responsibility of having to keep an eye on your workers’ attendance and overall performance. The wider the demographic area you are trying to cover, the more of a need there is to have personnel. This means that more money comes out of your business revenue and into the pockets of your employees.

Advice: If you want more people to buy your product or service over a larger region, then you are going to need a much bigger personnel to help sustain your business. It is better to focus more on recognition and sales before a wider distribution comes into play.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, there are many offline marketing methods that you can use to successfully promote your business off the internet. Along with the advantages and disadvantages of traditional marketing in general, it’s clear to see why you should incorporate offline marketing in your business.

How to Get a Capricorn Man Back – Tips to Get Him to Love You Again

by sinnga kilam 0 Comments

Losing the man you love is always emotionally challenging. It can leave you feeling broken, lost and very alone. If the man in question is a Capricorn you may feel that you’ve lost the only man who will truly ever understand you. These men may be tough on the exterior, but emotionally they are incredibly sensitive. If you can’t seem to move forward because your mind and heart believe that he’s the only man for you, you need to at least try and win back his love. Learning how to get a Capricorn man back is possible. As long as you understand exactly how to appeal to his heart again, you can get the second chance at love that you’ve been longing for.

Knowing how to get a Capricorn man back starts with understanding that rushing him into reconciliation simply won’t work. As you already know these men take their time falling in love. They aren’t quick to tell you what they’re feeling and they’re careful to always protect their own heart. That’s why it’s so helpful to try and establish a friendship with your man after the break up. Approach him and tell him that you’d like to remain in touch just as friends. He’ll likely be open to this option. Once he agrees to it, be mindful of the fact that this is just the first step so you shouldn’t try and rush his feelings. Don’t bring up the break up or anything that led up to it. Keep things between the two of you light and non-threatening. In other words, treat him as you would any friend.

You’ve also got to work at showing him that you still care for him, regardless of what’s transpired between the two of you in the past. You already know very well how important it is to a man like this to have the full and unwavering approval and support of those closest to him. When he shares what is going on in his life at the moment, tell him how proud you are of him. Don’t gush too much, just make it clear that you’re happy that he’s doing so well. He needs to hear that from you as his friend. Once he starts to feel that you’re genuinely interested in his happiness, he’ll open up again. It may take some time, but true love is well worth the wait.

Tips To Beat Insomnia After Quitting Marijuana

by sinnga kilam 0 Comments

Pot addiction is one of the hardest things to get over and any pot smoker will vouch for this as a fact. Although Pot is not known to cause physical addiction, it is definitely known to cause psychological addiction and one way or other psychological addiction is pretty hard to beat, after all desire is a very powerful emotion.

Cannabis withdrawal is made more difficult by the onset of withdrawal symptoms which can be quite troublesome in chronic smokers. Although there are many symptoms of cannabis withdrawal, I will discuss Insomnia in this article as this is one of the most important symptoms of cannabis withdrawal.

Insomnia is nearly universal as a symptom of cannabis withdrawal. Almost all individuals who are quitting pot experience some degree of insomnia. It is commonly seen in the first few days after quitting marijuana and can be very acute is some individuals.

Although people may not be able to sleep for days together initially, this condition will usually improve with time. As the THC stored in the body gets detoxified, the normal sleeping pattern should return. Although there is no specific time frame for this resolution two weeks can be assumed as a ballpark figure.

While no known treatments exist for treatment of insomnia due to marijuana withdrawal, some methods do help. Here are a few tips to get over the initial few days of insomnia:-

· If you are unable to sleep, do not lie in bed. Instead try to read a book or indulge in some physical activity. Watching TV is one is unable to sleep is definitely not advisable. Do something productive while you are trying to sleep.

· Do not sleep during the day. It is possible that you may feel very tired after a sleepless night and want to hit the bed bad, but this will disturb your body clock and prolong the period of insomnia. Therefore wait till night to sleep.

· Make your bedroom dark and silent. This will aid sleep. Also ensure that the temperature is neither too hot nor too cold. Avoid caffeinated drinks and hot baths before sleep.

· A glass of warm milk with some chocolate a hour before sleep can help induce sleep. So does honey.

· If you wake up early, do not lie in bed. Get up and get moving. You could possibly go running or hit the gym. This will pump endogenous cannabinoids in the body and induce sleep.

Insomnia will eventually go and you should be able to sleep as before in a few days time after quitting pot. The more important thing is not to relapse into smoking pot again due to these withdrawal symptoms. Following the above tips can help you beat insomnia.

Network Marketing Business Mission Statement – What's Yours?

Well now that you have a firm vision forward with your new business venture and the solid following of your most important supporter it’s time to make a road map of where you want to go.

I am a firm believer of a Business Plan. Without a “road map” of who, what and how you’re going to get where you want to be getting lost will be inevitable.

Well known fact: Plan your work and then work your plan. I couldn’t tell you where I learned it, Zig Ziegler or Tony Robbins but it is a core to business success.

First, in network marketing you must have a mission statement. Even if you don’t publicize it you must state in the written word what your company is about and what it wants to accomplish. You must convey the purpose of your company. With this in place you will always remember what your direction is.

Key elements of a good marketing mission statement:

Keep in mind that this is not any easy task; it will take some time to develop. It is a very important core concept of your company and needs the appropriate attention paid to it. The following elements are only a guide line; the true mission of your company can only come from your heart. Don’t copy another network marketer’s mission statement, it may sound good but it is not from you. Keep it short; just a couple of paragraphs should be enough for you to express your passion. If it is longer then it will sound more like a business plan instead of an “element” of the plan.

•What is the product or service you will provide and why will it exist? If you keep this specific to the kind of service you’re going to provide and the quality of the products you offer and not a specific product name then you can offer many products or change products without rewriting your mission each time.

•Who will benefit from your services or product and how. What impact do you want to make on your customers, suppliers and employees.

•What is your company’s vision? When customers, suppliers and employees team up with you what will they expect and what may be expected from them.

My belief is that you should be able to author a quality mission statement from these core elements. Of course there are many other elements that you can consider such as; How is your product better than others? What makes your service the best? What do you do well? What would you like to be done better? What actions would you like to be recognized for?

I think these elements are more for the stage when you have reached a level where you can make bold statements. I believe that you would agree that honesty and integrity must be conveyed at all times and if you are a beginner or mid-beginner making statements that you cannot deliver on will only hurt your early growth.

As an example: I don’t know for sure but I think Google’s mission statement from day one may not have included “organize the world’s information” when they probably didn’t know from the beginning that it would go past the borders of one country. But when they had that “ah-ah” moment and that vision was possible I’ll bet they expanded their statement.

As a network marketer you are now that you are on your way with your Mission Statement the next step is to develop your Sales and Marketing Plan or Marketing Techniques.

How to Make a Podium – Things to Consider in Building a Podium

by sinnga kilam 0 Comments

I’ve never taken notice of podium until the day I was asked to make one. Furniture is more like my thing and it never occurred to me that I’d be building a podium as well. Making a podium is not that hard although there are some basic consideration you have to keep in mind.

Some of the things you have to keep in mind are:

You can choose a hard wood or a soft wood in making a podium. It’s not much of a must to be using sturdy wood in podium than it is with furniture. However, I’ve always liked using a hardwood for my woodworking projects so I’ve used an oak wood.

If you like your podium to be easily portable, it is even imperative to use lighter materials. And wheels with industry strength would make the podium even more portable. If you opt to have a wooden base, make sure you use sturdier materials to ensure a strong sense of balance for the user.

The good thing with podium is that you can just make a basic structure and add some embellishments later on. However, you may need to build some extra features to the podium for a more customized use.

Some features I’ve personally built in the podium I’ve made are:

* Panels to allow more space for the speaker’s resources.

* Holes for cables and microphone stands.

* Cabinets to allow some space for the sound system.

One thing you have to deal with in building a podium are dimensions. You may want to take into consideration the average height of the possible user of the podium. This goes into planning the height of the podium. As for the other dimensions, I found it easier to follow a ready-made plan than go through the trouble of making one myself.

Excessive Leverage Caused 1929 Stock Market Crash and 2008 Economic Collapse

Even though many years separate these two painful events the common denominator of what caused both, is the same.

Back in the 1920’s you could put one dollar down and buy ten dollars worth of stock. This kind of leverage is fine when the stock market goes higher causing a wind up in stock prices and also high confidence in investors who felt they couldn’t lose.

As stocks moved higher and higher it seemed as though they were correct.

But when the market stopped going higher stockbrokers started calling their clients to let them know they had to put up more money. Some could sell stocks to cover their accounts but when every brokerage firm got a hold of all their clients with the same message it was like yelling fire in a packed theater. With all these people trying to sell all at once the crash in prices was very fast and severe.

Not only did the stock market crash, people were also fearful about their money in banks and when droves went to withdraw their money the run on the banks caused further economic pain.

Now fast forward around 80 years and substitute the over leverage in stocks with over leveraged banks and many people speculating in the housing market. Also with interest rates at historically low levels collectively these issues conspired to drive house prices up to foolish levels.

In the years prior to 2008 people had been conditioned to believe you couldn’t lose money on real estate. Not only did the average person believe this but it looks like banks believed this as well.

More and more people started to get into the housing market and borrow more money to buy a larger home, some also bought an investment property and some built up a portfolio of investment houses.

Well it’s readily apparent these weren’t investments at all, much more like wagers at the casino, big wagers in fact.

New players in the mortgage business also played an integral role in the run-up in housing prices as it allowed more than just banks to offer mortgages. This added competition started to impact banks earnings and so they tried to figure out other ways to make money.

Some came up with not so brilliant schemes that allowed them to take their money and leverage it up so they could try to make more money.

Unlike in the past when investors were allowed to put 10% down to buy stocks in the 1920’s these bankers only had to put down a few percent.

Why bankers were allowed to get so over leveraged is an important question to ask but what is much more important is preventing them from doing it again.

The combination of bankers leveraging their balance sheets up and consumers doing the same with their personal balance sheets are key reasons for the 2008 economic collapse. Historically low interest rates were also a culprit in the issue so the Federal Reserve policy makers should get some of the credit as well.

Just like the stock market of the 1920’s when stocks kept going higher it wasn’t a problem until they got up to ridiculous prices and the same thing happened to housing prices in the years leading up to 2008. The wind up was joyful as it looked like you couldn’t lose but the following unwind was quick and very painful.

After the big stock market crash of 1929 the government stepped in and tried to change many rules and regulations and started many agencies put in place to try and prevent a repeat in the future.

Some would rightly debate the effectiveness of all these actions but one of the most important was restrictions on leverage. No longer could you put down ten cents to buy a dollars worth of stock and this is a very good thing.

Now politicians and leaders of government institutions are coming up with plans to try and prevent a repeat of 2008. One problem with their efforts is they seem to be throwing out all kinds of ideas that sometimes cause people to lose sight of the biggest problem which is the leveraging up of bankers and consumers that drove housing prices to ridiculous levels. This is the key issue that caused the recent economic collapse that brought back fears of another great depression.

Signs are showing up that suggest we likely averted another depression with the economy well into the bottoming phase and it looks like following that there will be a recovery that leads to a significant economic expansion.

But it wouldn’t be wise to ignore what just happened because it looks like we are headed in a more positive direction. Instead we should stay focused on the fundamental reasons that caused the problems and work on ways to try to prevent them from happening again.

Rules and regulations that prevent bankers and consumers from getting leveraged way over their heads that could take them down as well as almost drown the entire global economy should be the focus of the changes.

Leverage caused the 1929 stock market crash just like it caused the 2008 economic collapse and reducing this risk is the most important problem to fix.

Banks and consumers have been starting to deleverage without any changes to the rules and regulations but even though they are systemic changes are still needed.

There is nothing wrong with leverage until it gets to extreme levels and that applies to banks as well as individuals. New rules and regulations should be very strict to prevent excessive leverage.

Some will say this gets the government too involved with bankers and consumers business. That’s too bad. Excessive leverage is way too important and dangerous to politicize and it’s critical to try and prevent as nobody wants a repeat of the 1929 stock market crash or the 2008 economic collapse.

These two events were way too painful, not to learn from, and the most important lesson they taught us is the ramifications of excessive leverage.

It isn’t possible to totally remove chances of economic calamity in the future but making it more difficult is worth doing. Excessive leverage is the key reason these painful events happened and also the key to reducing the risk of them happening again.

How to Use a Wood Chipper: The Best Tips for More Chips and a Better Machine

by sinnga kilam 0 Comments

To get the best results from your wood chipper it is important to use and maintain it correctly. Many owners believe a wood chipper is a machine that can eat through wood regardless of what is thrown at it. This is not the case – a wood chipper needs to be handled with care and patience. In this article, I’m going to tell you how to use a wood chipper and give you tips for ensuring you get the best results from your machine over-and-over again.

Electric Wood Chippers

Some of you may have electric wood chippers and this is why knowing how to use one of these machines correctly is important. These little machines are great for clearing the back yard and will work well with lots of twigs, leaves, brush, and sticks. What a lot of people don’t realize when using these machines is that using the correct gauge of electrical extension cord is paramount to the machine working effectively.

Electrical Extension Cord

If you have an extension cord of between 50′ to 100′, it must be 12 Gauge. The reason for this is that the electrical current would weaken on a lower gauge causing its motor to under perform. Some owners of these chippers have complained about the lack of power in the motor and blamed it on the machine having a poor design, when in fact the real reason their machine is under-powering is because of the wrong gauge extension cord. Another result of not using the correct gauge extension cable is for the motor to eventually burn out.

Running Your Electric Chipper from a Standard Wall Plug

If you are running your electric chipper from a standard wall plug, make sure that no other appliances are sharing the socket because, again, the full strength of the current will be sapped by the other appliance. This is especially true with appliances such as a fridge or washing machine.

Positioning Your Wood Chipper

When preparing your chipper for a job, make sure you have it positioned on some flat ground so that the machine is stable and won’t move about. Also make sure you have plenty of space so that you can feed in the debris unhindered.

Feeding Branches into Your Machine

Knowing how to use a wood chipper is important when it comes to feeding branches into your machine. The first thing to bare in mind is to make sure the branches are not covered in wet leaves as these can clog up the machine’s blades. If the pile of debris you are planning to chip is wet, leave it until another day when it has dried out.

Another cause of chippers jamming, especially the cheaper models, is inserting old wood which has fallen and hardened too much for the blades to process it. The best type of wood is the type which is relatively fresh.

Does your chipper/mulcher have a tendency to jam when you are feeding it leaves on their own? If so, it has been found that they will go through better if mixed with sticks or twigs. This gives the blades something solid to grab hold of when processing the material.

Knowing how to use a wood chipper is important when feeding the wood into the machine. You should do this slowly, and let the machine’s blades grab and draw it in rather than forcing the branches in and clogging the insides. It is imperative that this is done while wearing a good pair of protective gloves.

Turning the Machine Off

After you have fed in your last branch for chipping, make sure that you keep the machine running to spit out the very last piece. Some owners have switched the machine off while leaving pieces still inside which has resulted in problems when the chipper is next started.

Keep the Blades Sharpened

One thing which is extremely important for obtaining the best results from your chipper is to keep the blades sharpened at all times. On some of the cheaper models you should sharpen them literally after every major wood chipping job to ensure the machine is working effectively. Don’t worry because this isn’t such a burden to do as you would think because most blades can be removed with the turn of just a couple of nuts and screws. Most blades can then be sharpened with either a simple wet stone or a high quality file.

As mentioned earlier, wearing a good pair of protective gloves is important when using a chipper. Also it is extremely important to wear protective eye goggles and with the noisier machines, protective ear mufflers are also advisable. The last thing you want are any injuries. This is obviously very important when knowing how to use a wood chipper.

Happy Wood Chipping

If you follow these simple guidelines when learning how to use a wood chipper, you will find that you will have great results and will continue to do so over-and-over again. Most importantly, you will be ensured of getting great value for money from a reliable wood chipping machine.

3 Steps To Make Your Penis Bigger Without Risking Your Health And Getting Side Effects!

by sinnga kilam 0 Comments

So, you want to make your penis bigger… BUT… you want to make sure you don’t risk your health and get side-effects, right? Also, I’m guessing that you want to ensure that with the results you gain from an enlargement method is going to last permanently, right? Well, the good news is that for one, it really IS possible for you to grow a bigger endowment, and secondly, you can get great results without the usual consequences.

Okay my friend, without further ado, here are 3 effective steps I recommend that you take to ensure you get an AMAZING penis size… but without the typical risks involved with male enhancement…

Step #1 – Always think natural with anything related to improving your manhood. For example, one of the most important steps necessary for making the size of your penis grow bigger is to have an increase of blood flow into your penile shaft. Now, one of the most popular methods for increasing blood flow is taking enhancement pills. BUT…

For one, enhancement pills alone can not increase your penis size. And that’s because there are other things that needs to happen (such as stretching your suspensory ligament) that these pills obviously can’t achieve.

And secondly, to increase blood flow, you can do this 100% naturally without having to take pills. Doing natural penis exercises with just your hands, along with eating foods high in antioxidants are great examples of natural things you can do to increase blood flow.

Step #2 – If you want to ensure you get the maximum size possible with your manhood, plus ensure that you improve your performance in bed, believe it or not, it is absolutely VITAL that you work on improving the health of your entire body as well (and this goes for everything: mental, internally, and externally).

A.) Decreasing stress and anxiety will ensure that you have ample blood flow and rock hard erections.

B.) Eating healthier and drinking lots of water will help with blood flow and more.

C.) Exercising your body will again help with blood circulation and more.

D.) Improving your overall health can help you last longer, it can make your orgasms more intense, and you’ll be able to do different sex positions more effectively… and more!

Step #3 – The only thing that should touch your penis to make it grow bigger is YOUR HANDS! This means that there should be no tools, contraptions, or surgical tools going anywhere near your manhood if you want to significantly enlarge all aspects of your penis, strengthen your erection, improve your sexual functions (like lasting longer, having explosive orgasms, etc.), and then get all of these incredible benefits naturally, SAFELY, effectively, and permanently.

The only natural method that requires nothing but your hands (and some lubrication) are natural penile exercises.

Penile exercises will strengthen your penile chambers, help speed up blood flow, strengthen your PC muscle, and stretch out your suspensory ligament. As you can see, this is a COMPLETE method. Therefore, with doing this natural method, you will obtain a FULLY enhanced manhood (length, girth, appearance, health) without side-effects, without pain, without spending a fortune (unlike other popular methods), and everything you gain is guaranteed to last permanently… and that means you do not have to keep doing the exercises forever to maintain your results (again, unlike other popular methods).

Bottom line my friend, if you want to make your penis bigger without putting yourself at risk for getting side-effects, then all it comes down to thinking and acting naturally with EVERYTHING you do to enhance your manhood, work on improving your overall body, and use nothing but your hands to make your manhood larger. Oh, and one more thing, to ensure you get guaranteed results… always, always, always… STAY CONSISTENT!

What Is Lucid Dreaming? A Guide for Beginners

What is Lucid Dreaming?

This is the ability to consciously direct and control your dreams. It transforms your inner dream world into a living alternate reality – where everything you see, hear, feel, taste and even smell can be as authentic as real life.

This remarkable state of consciousness occurs when you realize you are dreaming – and your brain switches into waking mode inside the dream. In normal dreams, your self awareness is shut down. That’s why they often feel fuzzy and distant. But when lucid, the conscious brain wakes up during sleep.

Lucid dreams are a safe and natural state, where you can wake yourself up at any time if you choose. When you become conscious in a dream, your senses become alive, giving you as much control as you need to manipulate your own self-awareness and any elements of the dreamscape you desire. Moving through a sea of the subconscious, you can explore the workings of your inner self with total freedom.

Who Discovered Lucid Dreaming?

The practice of conscious dreaming has formed a part of Tibetan Buddhism for at least 1,000 years. They call it Dream Yoga.

The modern name for it was coined in 1857 by Marquis d’Hervey de Saint-Deny who called it a “rêve lucide”. Later, in the 1960s, Celia Green popularized the notion and pointed out the scientific potential of having heightened consciousness in dreams. She was also the first to forge the connection with false awakenings and Rapid Eye Movement (aka REM sleep).

The first scientific evidence of lucidity was recorded by Dr Keith Hearne at Hull University in 1975. He monitored and recorded REM signals from his volunteer, Alan Worsley, under laboratory conditions. However, Hearne’s findings went under the radar of mainstream science, and it was Dr Stephen LaBerge at Stanford University who more famously replicated this experiment in 1983.

LaBerge went on to found The Lucidity Institute in 1987 to better understand this incredible state of consciousness while asleep… A riddle that may one day offer huge advances in our understanding of the human brain.

Can Anyone Learn to Have Lucid Dreams?

Everybody dreams, even if they don’t always remember them. And everybody achieves consciousness – the act of being self-aware – upon waking up every day. So the idea of merging the two to create vivid, conscious dreams is theoretically within everyone’s grasp. It just takes practise.

What’s more, there are lucid dreamers at both ends of life: children can acquire lucid dreaming quite naturally by facing down their nightmares, and some medications for degenerative conditions like Parkinson’s Disease can cause spontaneous lucid dreams.

Studies reveal that everyone experiences at least one lucid dream in their lives just by accident. With know-how and commitment this state can be induced at will.

There are two ways to create lucid dreams:

1. Dream Induced Lucid Dreams (DILDs) – launched from within a normal dream, which suddenly surges into focus when you realize you’re dreaming.

2. Wake Induced Lucid Dreams (WILDs) – launched from a waking, meditative state, whereby there is no lapse in consciousness between the waking world and the dream world.

Let’s focus on the first method (DILD) as it is a lot easier for beginners. To become lucid this way, you must recognize that you’re dreaming at the time. That’s all. And there are many ways to do this by increasing your self-awareness in the waking world and on the sleep-wake border, including:

  • Daily meditation
  • Self hypnosis
  • Visualizations
  • Reality checks
  • Dream herbs

Using some or all of these methods, many people are able to have their first lucid dream within a matter of days or weeks. Inducing lucidity becomes easier with experience, whether you practice DILDs or WILDs.

What Are The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming?

First, it offers escapism – that’s why many people decide to take it up. In a virtual reality dream world, you can fly over stunning landscapes, teleport to the edge of the universe, meet your favorite celebrity in the flesh, or become a ninja assassin. It is much more realistic than merely day dreaming or playing your favorite video game. Guided dreams are exceptionally vivid.

Beyond the novelty appeal, conscious dreaming has many benefits, including:

  • Problem solving technical, mental and emotional issues
  • Being inspired to create original music and art
  • Facing your fears, such as phobias or public speaking
  • Enhancing new skills, such as martial arts or playing the guitar
  • Communicating with your unconscious self

Lucid dreams offer a powerful psychological tool to explore the inner self. As a beginner, intermediate or expert lucid dreamer, you have a limitless personal journey to look forward to.

Dental Tips – Overcoming Your Fear of the Dentist

by sinnga kilam 0 Comments

Are you afraid of the dentist? Do you consider cancelling your appointment days before, or not showing up at all? Do you feel helpless and uncomfortable in the cleaning chair? If you are, you aren’t alone. Over 75% of Americans experience dental phobia to some degree, 10% are extremely terrified and reluctant to get a dental checkup. That’s a lot of people! In this article, we want to go over why people fear the dentist, and steps you can take to make your visit to the dentist a lot easier on your mind.

Why Do People Fear the Dentist?

There are quite a lot of reasons why people develop a bad taste for dentist in their mouths. From harsh dentist personalities, to injury, to terrible experiences, all of these can affect someone starting at a really young age. Establish a ‘stop’ signal. Pushing yourself is one thing, but sometimes you will not be able to make it through an entire appointment without feeling a wave of nausea or discomfort envelop you. It’s a great idea to work with your dentist and create a stop signal. Doing so gives you the luxury to stop the procedure if you feel uncomfortable or just need a break and fresh air.

Ask Questions! In order to get comfortable with your dentist, you got to be able to trust them. Your dentist should be able to answer all the questions that you have from them, from simple tasks to taking care of your teeth, to explaining in detail every step of a more complicated procedure.

Visit the dentist regularly. This is the complete opposite tip you want to read, but it’s a great one. Relax! It’s important that you take the time to relax and clear your mind before a dental visit. If you are looking to reduce your fear of the dentist, this is the right approach.
